Firm secures dismissal of copyright case against multi-platinum artist and record company

Jonathan D. Davis, P.C., on behalf of an A-list artist and record company, successfully moved for summary judgment, obtaining a complete dismissal of plaintiff's copyright infringement claim filed in the federal court for the Southern District of Georgia. Plaintiff alleged that our client's song infringed plaintiff's rap song Comein Over.

Upon recommendations from the federal Magistrate, the Court dismissed our client from the case for plaintiff's failure to properly serve notice, and then dismissed the remaining defendants because Plaintiff could show no substantial similarity between the works at issue.
