Firm defeats claims brought by promoter against A-list R&B singer over cancelled concert appearance in Dallas

Jonathan D. Davis, P.C. represented an A-list R&B singer and her furnishing company in a lawsuit brought by a concert promoter in New York federal court to recover alleged damages arising from a cancelled concert in Dallas.

We filed a motion to dismiss the promoter's complaint and to obtain summary judgment on the furnishing company's counterclaim for the remaining payment due under the concert agreement.

The New York federal court granted the motion, awarding the furnishing company the remaining money due under the concert agreement and allowing it to submit an application for its attorney's fees against the promoter.
