Firm limits scope of artists royalty claim against record company

Jonathan D. Davis, P.C. represented a record company in an action in the New York Supreme Court brought by a multi-platinum country artist concerning the calculation and payment of royalties.

The firm moved to partially dismiss the claim as time-barred under the relevant agreements between the parties. The Court granted the motion substantially limiting the scope of the claim for money damages.
